Teachers' workload -
Teaching Hours
Full time teachers will be expected to teach up to 27 hours a week, although a normal load is around 24 contact hours. Overtime is paid after 23 hours per week and it is based on the real contact teaching
|
Working Hours:
In the first 3 months you will be working more than 40 hours a week as it will take longer for you to plan and prepare the lessons and to adjust yourself with the school academic operations. The working hours also include doing interview for students placement and also supporting the school when the school has school events.
You will be expected to teach on Saturday two-third of the contract. However, the teaching hour is only from 9:00am - 1:30 pm so there is still more than enough time to explore.
You will get 22 paid holidays during the contract and some of which will be taken at Christmas and at the end of Moslem Ramadan Holiday.
Salary - Our salary allows a comfortable lifestyle including the cost of vacation travel within Indonesia. On the completion of the contract we will also pay the cost of a return flight (your country to Jakarta and Jakarta to your country).
Visas - We will pay for and arrange your visa which will normally involve a trip to the Indonesian Embassy
in Singapore within your first month in Jakarta.
 |
|
Housing - We have shared houses with your own air conditioned bedroom in which teachers may live for a monthly rent.
The facilities in the house include, telephones, television in the living room, air-conditioned bedrooms, kitchen with the stove, laundry service and house cleaning by the maid.
The telephone bills and other personal expenses like soap powder, drinking water are additional charges. The school will pay for the electricity, the water ( excluding drinking water),maintenance and monthly bill for security.
|
Some of our houses are a short 5 to 15 minutes transportation and some are walking distance.
Staying in the teacher housing is not compulsory so the teacher will also have the option of finding his/her own accomodation
Medical Expenses - EF offers a two-tiered health package to teachers on a full time contract. In the case of hospitalization teachers are covered by health insurance. As with any health insurance provision there are, of course, limits but we feel that the insurance will be adequate for nearly all cases in which in-patient treatment is required
